Skimming

Exceptional Service

Skimming is a plastering technique which involves applying a thin coat to walls to create the smooth surface required for painting or decorating.

Either the skim plaster is applied to an existing plaster finish, or it's used to cover plasterboard.

Boarding / Dry Lining

Dedicated to Creating the Best Foundation for Any Room.

Boarding / Tacking is a process that involves applying plaster board to metal stud or timber frames which are in the ceiling or on the walls, using screw fixings.

Always consider the place it is going to be fitted to. More humid areas or areas more susceptible to water penetration and moisture will involve using moisture resistant plasterboards. For example, this would be the best option for your bathroom or kitchen.

In addition to this, I can also install Fire board which helps to prevent fire from spreading.

Coving

Add a Decorative Finish

Coving is used to add a decorative touch to the corners of your rooms where the walls and ceilings meet. This is applied using coving adhesive.

Some designs are more intricate than others, depending on the interior style of each room.

Dot & Dab

'Dot and dab' refers to the way the plasterboard adhesive is applied in evenly spaced dots and dabs across the surface of the wall.

Dot and dab is popular because it's quicker, easier and less messy than methods such as wet plastering.

It also means you can finish and decorate walls straight away.

Rendering

This is the process of covering an exterior or interior wall with sand and cement mixture.

This protects exposed brick and other construction materials of erosion and cracking; preventing expensive maintenance or repairs down the line, this can then be painted.
